Group Chat and Emoticons on New Gmail

Google added a new interface: an updated Gmail Chat that's only available in the new version of Gmail. This updated Gmail Chat includes two features that were already available in the gadget: smileys and group chat. To invite a new contact to an existing chat, click on "Options" and select "Group Chat". The problem is that your contact must use either the gadget or the new version of Gmail. If he uses the desktop client, a message will inform him to open the gadget, but in the old version of Gmail Chat there's no indication that you invited him to chat. To start a group chat, click "Group chat" from the "Options" menu when chatting. Enter the names of the people you want to add, and, bingo, you're in your very own chat room. All the familiar features such as chat archiving and taking the chat off the record still work as well. You'll also now notice a smiley face in the bottom right-hand corner of your chat window. You can still use regular emoticon keyboard shortcuts, such as :) or =P, but this menu lets you select the style of the emoticons you send. Beyond the good old classic Gmail smileys there are two brand new, rich emoticon styles. These features only work with the latest version of Gmail.

Dyson

In 1978, James Dyson noticed how the air filter in the Ballbarrow spray-finishing room was constantly clogging with powder particles (just like a vacuum cleaner bag clogs with dust). So he designed and built an industrial cyclone tower, which removed the powder particles by exerting centrifugal forces greater than 100,000 times those of gravity. Could the same principle work in a vacuum cleaner? 5 years and 5,127 prototypes later, the world's first bagless vacuum cleaner from Dyson arrived. It was first sold in Japan, the home of high-tech products. Known as the 'G Force', it won the 1991 International Design Fair prize in Japan. The Japanese were so impressed by its performance that the G Force became a status symbol, selling for $2,000 a piece! Using income from the Japanese licence, James Dyson decided to manufacture a new model under his own name in Britain. In June 1993 he opened his research centre and factory in Wiltshire and developed a machine that collected even finer particles of dust (microscopic particles as small as cigarette smoke). The result was the DCO1, the first in a range of cleaners to give constant suction. The Dual Cyclone™ system is the first breakthrough in technology since the invention of the vacuum cleaner in 1901. The traditional bag has been replaced by two cyclone chambers which cannot clog with dust. James Dyson has proved a better product can be made at a price people can afford. As a result the Dyson Dual Cyclone became the fastest selling vacuum cleaner ever to be made in the UK. The Root Cyclone technology in Dyson vacuum cleaners separates dirt and dust from the air by centrifugal force and collecting it in a bin. This means a Dyson doesn't rely on a bag or filter and doesn't lose suction. It's the only vacuum cleaner that works like a vacuum cleaner should. Replacement bags and filters for other vacuum cleaners can cost up to £250 over five years. With a Dyson, you only pay once. Also every Dyson upright and cylinder vacuum cleaner is covered by a free 5 year parts and labour guarantee. There is also a team of Dyson experts on hand 7 days a week if you need any advice or assistance. Find more about Dyson parts at their website.
